Ramadan is the month of giving. Throughout Ramadan, giving charity or alms is known as Sadaqa, and it is one of the many ways Allah has provided for His followers to obtain great rewards.
Islam has traditionally urged Muslims to donate generously, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. “Allah’s Messenger was the most charitable of all mankind, and he used to be more charitable during Ramadan; he was compared to an uncontrollable wind (PBUH) for his generosity.”
“Whoever gives a fasting person food to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person’s), without anything being deducted from the recompense of the fasting person,” said Allah’s prophet (SAW). Donate as much as possible in the month of giving (RAMADAN).
